COUNCIL ADMINISTRATION

ACTING SCOUT EXECUTIVE

During my career I have had the opportunity to serve as the Acting Scout Executive on three different occasions. In the Pacific Skyline Council I was asked to serve in this role in 2000 and 2002. This opportunity once again was presented to me in 2009 while I was serving as the Director of Finance Services and Chief Financial Officer in the San Francisco Bay Area Council.

During each of my Acting Scout Executive experiences all major council goals were achieved. These roles gave me the opportunity to work very closely with the Council President and the other Council officers. My duties included ensuring a smooth transition to the new Scout Executive.

My responsibilities as Acting Scout Executive in the San Francisco Bay Area Council included successfully handling a number of situations. These situations include TV media in the building, youth protection issues and human resources issues.
